This is a transcript of the Gasconade County, Missouri, "residents tax
list" of 4 Aug 1828, printed in the Pulaski County section of Goodspeed's
History of Leclede, Dallas, Camden, Pulaski, Webster, Wright, Texas
counties, 1889.
The tax census canvassed Gasconade Co.
and her annexed "Treaty lands in Dispute of Treaty 1808 of the Osage
lands of the 6 Bulls Indian Confederation", also called or nicknamed
other names such as "Pulaski Districts", "unclaimed territory" and
"Osage districts".
Many counties in Missouri were eventually carved from these lands.
